Cala en Porter, South Coast:
Just a 3 minute walk from the centre of Cala en Porter, this lovely single storey, four bedroom villa is positioned on a quiet road. The villa is a superb location for either, a large or extended family or, two families sharing.

Screened by tall hedging and gates the villa and grounds are not visible from the road. Through the gates and the spacious garden and terrace areas around the pool are revealed. Large covered terraces for dining and sunbathing with a gazebo that houses a traditional Menorcan chimney barbeque along with stone table and bench seating.

The main entrance to the villa leads into the open plan dining and comfortable lounge area.  Provided for entertainment there is a TV receiving UK FreeSat channels, a DVD player and a complete music system with iPod connection. Adjacent to the indoor dining area is the well equipped fitted kitchen that includes a gas hob, built-in electric oven and grill, a fridge freezer and microwave.

The separate laundry room is equipped with a sink,  maiden, an automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Two of the four bedrooms have double beds and two have twin beds. All the bedrooms are attractive and well furnished with built-in wardrobes, drawers, bedside tables and lamps. All four bedrooms have ceiling fans.

The full bathroom comprises bath with shower, WC, bidet and wash basin. The shower room is equipped with a WC, bidet and wash basin.

Outdoors there are two undercover dining areas. One beside the villa and another in the gazebo with the traditional Menorcan barbeque in a sunken garden at the top of the pool. There are eight sun loungers and plenty of space in the sun and the shade, so exactly the right spot can be found at any time during the day.

The swimming pool has a large Roman end with interior steps and measures 4 x 10 metres approximately and ranges from 1 to 1.75 metres in depth. There is underwater lighting for safe bathing after dark and a ladder at the end measuring 1.75m.

Cala en Porter is a lively resort 15 minutes from the airport and built high on the cliff top. The beautiful horseshoe bay with crystal clear water and sandy beach is framed by cliffs and can be reached via road or steps down from the town. Awarded a Blue Flag (the European Standard for cleanliness and water purity) the beach is recommended for everyone. At the back of the wide sandy beach there is children’s play area and freshwater shower. Pedallos and sun beds are for hire and on the short promenade by the side of the beach, a snack bar, restaurant, bar and beach shop will supply your needs. In the town there are several supermarkets and a wide variety of restaurants, bars and the hotel allows non residents to attend theme nights.

The famous old Troglodyte dwellings known as the Cova d'en Xoroi (Caves of Xoroi) one of Menorca’s most popular attractions offer stunning views by day and are open to visitors. At night the caves become a discothèque.

A regular bus service will take you to the local working village of Sant Climent or Mahon, the Capital and there is a Taxi Rank at the crossroad in the centre. A motorised train makes trips around the town and to the beach so a car is not essential, however, we would recommend one to allow you to see more of this beautiful island.
